Who We Are

The Advocates for Music & Music Education Association (AMMEA) is a NPO that Supports, Educates, and Preserves Music in the State of South Carolina.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to cultivate, support, and enhance Music and Music Education in the state of South Carolina through fostering academic partnerships, professional learning opportunities, and resources for classrooms.

Purpose

Our purposes is to organized are to support, educate and preserve the appreciation and enhancement of music and music education in the State of South Carolina within the meaning of Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended. The purpose of this corporation shall be the advancement of music and music education, and in specific furtherance thereof.

1.To promote and encourage a continuing interest in Music and Music Education by providing resources to students

2. To provide financial assistance to music programs in secondary schools that display financial need 

3. To develop a close academic relationship with collegiate level music programs in South Carolina

Media

If you use a contact form and plugin, users please note what personal data is submitted when filling out a contact form. This website does not share any personal data with any third party persons, businesses, and or organizations.

How long we retain your data

While it is your responsibility to govern all interactions while using this website. Some of your data is kept each dataset to keep contact form entries for a year, analytics records for a year, and customer purchase records indefinitely.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username and membership status). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this website, or have left comments, upon written request you can receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. Upon written request, you can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We do not send or share your data outside the United States. Your data is safeguarded to this organization’s database. This could include your web hosting, cloud storage, or other third party services.

Data protection law requires data about residents of the United States transferred outside the United States to be safeguarded to the same standards as if the data was in the United States. We ensure you that these standards are met either by this organization, third party service providers, whether that is through an agreement such as Privacy Shield, model clauses in contracts, or binding corporate rules. User’s comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect information about you during the signup process as well as some basic activities such as the dates you make purchases, login to the site, or cancel/pause/resume your subscriptions with us.

What we collect and store

When you subscribe with us, we’ll ask you to provide an email address. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • — Send you information about your account and subscriptions. This may include payment receipts, password reset emails, and payment reminders.
  • — Create your membership account
  • — Order information such as your membership subscriptions, payment dates and amounts, and username / email address.
  • Any additional information added in your Member Profile can also be visible to the Administrator(s).
